I got to go with Rebekah's class to visit the Flight center. It is one of my favorite field trips.
The kids do a unit about flight at school before they come. Then they get to do the flight trainers.
The "runway station" is 8 different experiments that the kids get to do. The activities are all related to flight.
They get to make two flights on a flight simulator.
Chart a landscape using night vision goggles.
Fly to the destination of their choice in the airplane simulator. (Rebekah flew to paris and looped around the Eifel Tower)
And an Engineer from Honeywell runs a helicopter simulator.
This was my favorite too. I still remember it.
